A Pouring Rights Contract (PRC) gives a beverage company exclusive rights to sell and market beverages on campus. At UCI, this contract applies to campus retailers and vending machines, including Zot N Go and The Hill.

Many commonly sold beverages, such as sodas, sports drinks, and ready-to-drink coffee products, are packaged in single-use plastic bottles.

We are building student support for a proposal to amend UCI’s pouring rights contract to better reflect campus sustainability values and reduce single-use plastic waste at student stores and vending machines.
