In many schools the free school meal amount is the total of £2.40. This means that our children can get a sandwich and pudding, sandwich and drink or pudding and a drink. This is not acceptable if our children don’t want to be hungry they will go thirsty or if they want a drink they will go hungry. £2.40 is not enough especially in the crisis we are facing with prices rising. If this amount which clearly it is not enough to cover a main dessert and a drink then it needs raising. The schools are justifying this by access to fountains etc. That is not fresh when everyone else if using this or putting their mouths around it. The children have very little movement time and are then getting moaned at for filling a bottle up taking to long. This is disgusting.  Please help me get the children enough for their lunch to be able to stay healthy hydrated and able to concentrate to fulfil the strict rules of expectations set for them when it comes to their learning. We parents need to act now before one of our children get ill
