Is Waimate, the town facebook forgot? Waimate residents are frustrated they are not able to display that they live in or have lived in Waimate. This is because facebook has left Waimate,  South Canterbury out of the geotagging location system. Even tagging a photo using mobile phones on facebook can be questionable. 

People have to put that they live in Waimate North, Morven, Studholme Junction, or Waitaki District when simply this is not the case. Waimate, South Canterbury is a town of 3000+ residents and an identity in its own right. The town has many vibrant community events that are lost in the system because of the wrong geotag information on facebook. This needs to be corrected, so that we can proudly promote our wonderful town on the global and national stage, we want Waimate to be known as the place to be these holidays and beyond. 

Mark Zuckerburg, would you please consider fixing this issue has been an ongoing issue that is causing frustration with all current and former residents and business owners, of Waimate, South Canterbury.
