Help protect the Bees and save our Artistic Bee Sanctuary!

The Issue

The Rainbow Galaxies is a nonprofit ministry that advocates for social justice, environmental causes, and the freedom of expression through art, music, movement, and meditation.

Florida is home to 316 native bee species and according to University of Florida entomologist Joshua Campbell, many of Florida's bee species need to be on the protected species list. Florida's 'many, many rare species of bees' are vital to pollinating native plants and local farms. In fact, 70 to 80 percent of the world's flowers rely on bees to produce seeds, and Florida beekeepers are reporting losses of up to 80% of their bees. Long story short, Florida is losing its bees and we need to help save them. Our Seven-Tea's Bee Sanctuary Art Tribute is doing exactly that by playing home to not one but two active hives of these rare and nearing endangered local bees. Beyond hosting these rare bees, the Seven-Teas Sanctuary demonstrates artistic reuse turning an old 70s model trailer into an artistic tribute and time capsule to the 70s.

On the other hand, the City of Naples and Collier County perceive our art and endangered species sanctuary as a simple trailer and are trying to charge our nonprofit organization over $7,000 thousand dollars in fines. Seven grand for trying to save local endangered species and help the local ecosystems in an artistic and sustainable way.

We want the City of Naples Florida and Collier County Florida to recognize our Seven-Tea Sanctuary as the protected species habitat and the art tribute it is. We further want the City of Naples Florida and Collier County Florida to stop charging us for having the sanctuary art installation at 568 13th St N. Naples Fl., and drop the $7,250+ in current charges against us.

Your help is vital in our efforts to save the bees and protect our art.

Thank you,
