We are two days away from the vote and we need your help!

Please attend (via Webex or in-person) the Board of Pharmacy meeting in two days on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 1:00PM PST and prepare a 3-minute statement to voice your strong opposition! You do not need to be a public speaker, nor do you need to understand the intricacies of the new regulations. Just speak from your heart about how these regulations and bans will negatively impact you, your loved ones, or your community.

Here are some examples of points you can make during your allotted time: 

1. The new regulations obstruct my freedom by ending my access to compounded medicines that are available in all 49 other states. 
2. The Board of Pharmacy is committing regulatory overreach by behaving like lawmakers when your job is to protect patients.
3. Your Executive Officer does not have a pharmacy background. (Anne Sodergren has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.) Why does she get to play any part in deciding what medicines are safe for me and my family?
4. The Board of Pharmacy is committing regulatory overreach by attempting to override established standards from the FDA and Pharmacopeia. (The Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding identified 57 instances where the new regulations exceed these standards.)
5. I believe The Board of Pharmacy is violating the 14th Amendment by:
   1. Substantive Due Process Violation: By arbitrarily exceeding federal & USP standards in 57 specific instances without scientific justification 
   2. Procedural Due Process Violation: By lacking transparency and clarity in their implementation and largely ignoring our public comments
   3. Equal Protections Violation: By disproportionately impacting vulnerable populations such as chronic illness patients and firefighters, thereby denying them/us equal protection.

When you log in to the Webex meeting, you will use the "raise hand" button to let them know that you have a public comment. There will also be instructions provided during the meeting.
