Hi everyone,
Thank you for your support in our ongoing efforts to protect Californians' access to glutathione and other Category 1 Compounds. Our petition has been publicly backed by major organizations, and we have mobilized significant opposition to The BOP's proposed regulations.
However, as of right now, we believe The CA Board of Pharmacy is still moving forward with their July 31 vote. Governor Newsom is aware of our petition but has not yet made any motion to enact change.
The lack of scientific or legal justification for the proposed regulations, coupled with the strong public opposition from dozens of respected organizations like Cedars-Sinai, Kaiser Permanente, and the California Hospital Association, suggest a major violation of due process principles. As such, we believe it's possible the Board of Pharmacy is violating the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. However, we have not yet had the means to consult a constitutional lawyer to look into this argument.
Here's what you can do:
- We encourage you to post and share this petition with as many people as you can to keep the momentum going. We have more power in numbers.
- Call Governor Newsom's office: (916) 445-2841. If no one answers, leave a message that you believe the Board of Pharmacy's proposed regulations are violating your rights.
- If you are someone with influence, connections, or simply believe you can help us in a specific way, please email Crystal at crystal@frostpr.com
We only have 7 days left.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support. Please follow our new instagram account @stop.thebop for more updates.
Together we can #STOPTHEBOP.
