Bunnell’s Fork is at risk—help us protect it before it’s too late.

Bunnell’s Fork is a beautiful, undeveloped canyon in Provo with a flowing stream, abundant wildlife, and vital watershed resources. Provo City owns this land, but without permanent protection, future city councils could sell it for development, endangering a critical water source, an important wildlife habitat, and a beloved recreational space.

Once land is sold at development prices, it’s nearly impossible to repurchase and restore to a pristine and vibrant state. If we act now, Provo City can economically place a conservation easement on Bunnell’s Fork and protect the quiet and peaceful character of that part of South Fork forever.

Provo’s City Council is discussing the future of Bunnell’s Fork this month. A strong public response will show that the community values this land and wants it protected. Sign this petition today to urge the Mayor and City Council to place Bunnell’s Fork under a conservation easement and prevent future development.

To hike the trail, you need to walk along a road that passes through the Giles Ranch, which is private property.  Please stay on the road.  We are grateful to the Giles family, who for the past century have maintained the trail and watched over the canyon.
