Help Project E-MISSION Fight E-Waste Before It's Too Late

I am Ch. Mokshasri Vrinda, a 14-year-old school student in Hyderabad who is passionate about making a difference in the world. I have launched Project E-MISSION (as a part of the 1M1B Future Influencers program) to educate people about the importance of proper disposal of e-waste.

E-waste is a growing problem around the world. Every year, millions of tons of electronic waste are generated, and much of it ends up in landfills or incinerators. This can have a serious impact on the environment and human health.

E-waste contains harmful chemicals that can pollute the soil and water, and it can also release toxic fumes into the air when it is burned. These chemicals can contaminate our food and water supply, and they can also cause serious health problems, such as cancer and birth defects.

Proper disposal of e-waste is important because it helps to protect the environment and human health. Recycling e-waste helps to conserve natural resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It also helps to prevent harmful chemicals from entering the environment.

Do you know?

  • We produce approximately 40 million tons of electronic waste annually worldwide, equivalent to discarding 800 laptops every second.
  • Only 20% of the total e-waste can be recycled, the remaining 80% end up releasing toxic chemicals in landfills or incinerators.

Project E-MISSION is a valuable initiative that is making a real difference in the fight against e-waste. I am conducting educational workshops in schools and communities to teach people about the dangers of e-waste and how to recycle it safely. I am also organizing community awareness campaigns and planning for e-waste collection drives. You can visit Project E-MISSION to know more about it.

I am inspired by the support that I have received from the community, and I am committed to continuing my work to educate people about e-waste and to help them dispose of it properly.

I believe that it is important to be specific and to use real-world examples when talking about the problem of e-waste. This helps people to understand the severity of the problem and the importance of taking action.
