Our team arrived in Yulin two days ago. Unlike many big org who claim to be on the ground but are not NoToDogMeat works at grassroots level as well as lobbying governments for change.The photo you see is the entrance to the city. It’s quite extraordinary really because on the face of it Yulin feels like a medium size city with all the usual amenities but there is a sinister vibe you get each time you cross through the ‘border’

You are watched from all sides. Cars follow you and the secret police surround and stop you. Even with our friends from China * they* can tell by the number plate or the accent we are foreigners.
We go before the torture fest begins because it is the only reliable way to know the extent of the killing and also to know where dogs and cats are coming from. We gather intelligence and infiltrate how we can. So we can present the truth with our petitions to authorities.
We visit the surrounding dog meat farms where basically all breeds are thrown together and then dragged out for slaughter. We frequent the many restaurants in all of Guanxi region. We protest how we can and we rescue.
All our photos and footage we put on social media and send to the press and all the pups we can save we take back to our base and care for them until they can find loving homes.
We are desperate for funds and resources as our charity is volunteer led and we need to do all we can during this heinous time and ongoing.
