May is here, and our hearts sink as the days tick down to Yulin. We have managed to get some press ( see links), and we will continue to step up the pressure writing to Governments and, in June, taking to the streets.
Many people ask us just where the dogs come from. How are so many different breeds, shapes, and sizes cruelly butchered? Some are stolen pets, some strays, others come from breeding farms, and some, as we recently discovered, can be sold from grooming parlours. Yes, that's right, dogs are cruelly bred to be groomed; they have their vocal cords cut and then when no longer required, sold to slaughterhouses.see link
Our team in China, led by the heroic Mr Zhao, will return to Yulin to do all we can, saving dogs and protesting. Their presence carries much more weight than Western animal lovers because they are Chinese. They are bravely joining our campaign to say #NoToDogMeat
