Help our furry friends get the help they need in desperate times!🐾
The Issue
We are the residents of this town, fueled by sadness and the desperate necessity for local emergency veterinary care that we have painfully experienced in recent times. Two beloved pets have tragically passed away, due to the lack of immediate medical aid here in our town, which has prompted us to act. The nearest available facility is in Central Point, which has proven to be too far in our times of need.
While we understand the challenges of maintaining a 24-hour veterinary clinic, we believe that life-saving medical aid for our furry friends should not be a privilege dependent on geographic location. Especially when taking into consideration the fact that Americans own approximately 70 million dogs and 74.1 million cats, as stated by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) in 2020. This outlines the high chances of emergency medical situations arising in any location, including ours.
Our request is one that will alleviate fears, avoid desperate late-night drives to neighboring towns, and most importantly, potentially save the lives of our beloved animals. We plead with the authorities to understand our plight and take tangible steps toward establishing a 24-hour emergency vet clinic in our town. Please sign this petition to aid in making this much-needed change a reality.
