My family has been affected by the changing immigration rules. We lost our status here in Canada and my husband and I are getting older. With our two kids, we are deeply worried about their future if we are forced to return to the Philippines. Our concern grows as we consider the challenges we would face in finding employment at our age, especially after having sold all our properties in the Philippines to fund my education here in Canada.

Our family's situation in the Philippines is dire, with no financial means or support to help us resettle. We made Canada our home with hopes and dreams for a better future for our children, and uprooting them now would be devastating.

Aside from the emotional and financial toll, it’s important to consider the children’s right to a stable and secure upbringing. According to Statistics Canada, children who experience multiple relocations face difficulties in education and social integration. Staying in Canada offers our children the continuity and opportunities they need for a brighter future.
