Hi All, Last week I received a surprise through the post, it was a certificate from the Australian of the year awards to say I had been nominated. This is a wonderful surprise, but I feel it is on behalf of all North Qld and just tells Australia (ICA in particular) we are not going to lie down and accept the rubbish we've been handed, we are going to continue the fight. I didn't win, naturally, as there are so many people out there doing much more than me and making a much bigger difference to the world as a whole. The Qld recipient was Hetty Johnston (Child protection activist), and the finalists were Terri Irwin, Adam Scott and Johnathan Thurston. Still, it is nice to be included in such company!!
