I am appealing to you today for a matter that is deeply personal to me and weighs heavily on my heart. I have family overseas, living in Syria impoverished conditions, struggling every day just to find something to eat. They hide in their homes as the rebels are now taking over…..unable to venture outside as rebels storm houses, spreading fear with theft and corruption and MURDER. There is a constant escalation of danger in their war-torn environment and I simply hope to see my family safe and secure.

Australia boasts of freedom and a high standard of living. It's a place where lives truly matter. It's with this in mind that I humbly ask for your support to implore the Australian government to open its arms and borders to my family. To provide them with a sanctuary, a place they can confidently call home without the constant threat of violence and poverty.

It is widely known that globally, nearly 1 in every 100 humans is a displaced person , many from areas riddled with conflict and poverty. Allowing members of my family to relocate to Australia doesn't only symbolize a personal victory but carries the hopes of those countless others who dream of living in a safe and free country.
