Brighton and hove city Council Help me stay in my home
The Issue
Subject: Petition to Prevent Eviction and Preserve Housing for Families
Dear brighton and hove City Council
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the potential eviction of my family from our 3-bedroom house in woodingdean. I kindly request your attention and assistance in this matter.
Our family has been living in this house for 12 years and it has been our safe haven, providing us with stability, comfort, and a sense of belonging. However, we recently learned of plans to evict us to make room for a single individual to under-occupy the house.
This all come as a big shock as we have been living happily with a family member in this house for 12 years. Now due to the main tennent having a mental health brake down they now want My family including my disabled child to move out of our home that is more then suitable for our needs and my children's mental health.
We strongly believe that preserving housing for families should be a priority in our community. A family home should not be sacrificed in favor of accommodating a single person. Evicting us would not only disrupt our lives but also set a concerning precedent that could affect other families in similar situations.
We understand the importance of addressing housing needs for individuals, but we urge you to consider alternative solutions that do not involve evicting families. This could include exploring other available housing options or implementing fair and inclusive policies that cater to both individuals and families.
We kindly request:
1. A thorough reconsideration of the decision to evict our family from our home.
2. An open and transparent dialogue to discuss alternative solutions that would accommodate the needs of individuals without displacing families.
3. Fair treatment and consideration for the well-being and stability of our family, as well as other families facing similar circumstances.
We believe that by working together, we can find a solution that respects the rights and needs of all community members. We hope that you will give this matter the attention it deserves and take the necessary steps to prevent our eviction.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to a positive resolution to this issue.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline davis
