Hi everyone. We’re approaching 200 signatures on my petition asking the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia to address priest Bob Malm’s perjury and other misconduct. The news is exciting, and comes at a good time—I was up most of the night with my grandmother, now in her 90’s, and also in hospice. She was profoundly confused yesterday and in crisis, but seems to have pulled through for now.
Regardless of challenges like this, I plan to keep pushing for change. This is a church where people seem friendly, but behind the scenes they bully others, lie, and even urge people to commit suicide. That’s simply not right. And Bob Malm’s perjury and other misconduct shows people that this is okay.
It’s not okay.
