Hi everyone! As my petition nears 100 signatures, I’m excited to see momentum building. Mom was excited to hear about our efforts, too.
Recently, I filed suit against the diocese, the parish, and bishop, and will soon add Bob Malm himself. In my lawsuit, I allege that Bob’s real motive in all of this was to insulate himself from criticism. That’s wrong on so many levels, including the fact that protective orders should be for people who are actually threatened. Trying to use the protective order process to violate First Amendment rights disrespects the women, men, and children who really do face violence and abuse, often at home. We go to trial on March 27, but win, lose, or draw, I plan to keep protesting until the diocese and Bishop Goff act with integrity.
