Raise your voice with me. The zoo on the west side of the island in Puerto Rico has been closed since 2017. The zoo currently houses hundreds of wild animals living in inhumane conditions. The black bear Nina died of “health complications”. No, they’re dying because of neglect and abandonment. Their habitat is dirty. Hypos don’t have water,   Lions roar, ribs showing. This animals are dying and they will continue to die if nothing is done about it. These animals deserve a better life. They should’ve been transferred off the island shortly after the zoo closed its door to the public. This is animal cruelty.
