Help me get a Pardon from the Governor of the State of Oklahoma Mary Fallin
The Issue
Hello and thank you very much for taking the time to read, sign and support me in regards to this petition. My name is Benjamon Young but most folks know me as either Ben Young or Brother Ben. In October 2007 I was charged with four counts of crime. It was my first criminal offense and I pled guilty to the charges. I accepted the punishment as was given to me and completed every program that was placed before me. I am not trying to take away or discount from the sins of my past but I am also not one to look back on yesterday's flaws and failures. I have been given a new opportunity with the Lord which means that I have been given a new opportunity with life. Since that time I have worked diligently to cleanse the stains of my past. However, the felony that is on my record is keeping me from doing and achieving many goals.
In writing this petition all that I am asking is for the opportunity to become a citizen of the United States of America again. This is a country that I served proudly as a soldier in the United States Army. This is a country that I believe in. It is truly the home of the free and the land of the brave. Most people that go to jail get arrested, I got rescued! Being arrested was one of the most humbling experiences of my life and it was through this tragedy and pain that my heart was opened to experience life and life more abundantly. Most folks that know me know what I am about. I am currently a full time student, full time single father and full time ordained reverend of a non-profit organization that I founded in 2009 called ONE Church - A Ministry Without Walls. By the grace of God I have made helping and encouraging others my life's mission. I am an example that you can take a not so good thing and make it better. I view all life with this same perspective. I am currently attending Brown Mackie College for a Bachelor's in Legal Studies, my aspiration is to become a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. In order to accomplish that goal, I must first accomplish this goal of being Pardoned. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read his petition and for giving me your full support. I will never take your kindness for granted and I accept the opportunity of serving and representing each of your signatures and voices with the greates intention of morality and integrity.
Sincerely,
Brother Ben Young - Reverend
