Following the success of my last petition "Jette lives a miserable life" let's now do the same and be the voice for these two bears, Maxi & Schnute, who live in a terrible, tiny enclosure in Berlin.

For the last two years I have been fighting to rescue bears who often live a horrible life in zoos and circuses. I love bears and I feel especially sorry for Maxi & Schnute.

Maxi is 26 and Schnute in 31 years old. They have been a public attraction at Kollnischen Park, Berlin for many years. The bear pit is far from their natural habitats and at just 480 square metres, the space is not much bigger than a raised flower bed. As you can see from the photo, these are unacceptable conditions for two grown bears to be in.

Berlin ASPCA and welfare officers have been in favour of rehoming the bears for a long time now but international pressure is needed so that these two bears can be relocated to a sanctuary. Please be the voice for Maxi and Schnute and help them to live out the rest of their lives as bears should.
