Manteca animal shelter kills their rescued dogs almost every day.

They are not helping them by having very few if any low cost events that actually help the dogs. Such as “clear the cages” events that other cities around us have. We are currently at capacity and they don’t hold any events until the end of the year it seems. 

They also use an out of county veterinarian for their spay/ neutering that costs upwards of $200+ depending on their weight. 
In total these animals to adopt are $300+ and we have a majority amount of large dogs from purebred huskies, German shepherds and Bully breeds. We should be utilizing our local veterinarians in OUR county not outsourcing.
