If you've ever traveled Pottstown Pike (Route 100) you know how fast people drive and how it can be scary turning onto the road without a traffic light! Lately, the intersection of Caswallen Drive and Pottstown Pike has become a concern to residents living in the Caswallen and Crosspoint Developments. Currently, there is no safe entrance/exit for the development that involves turning onto Pottstown Pike. In the past month, there have been two major accidents at this intersection, this is two too many! This is also one of the three entrances/exits to this development, which also happens to be the busiest. Also located at this intersection is the Kesher Israel Congregation making this a higher traffic intersection. This intersection is particularly dangerous because of a bend on Pottstown Pike approaching the Caswallen intersection. People speed around this curve and the visibility at Caswallen is very limited due to this curve, making it dangerous for residents to turn out of their own neighborhood. These residents do not feel safe coming out of their own neighborhood. Wouldn't you want to feel safe turning into and out of your neighborhood? By adding a traffic light to this intersection, it would reduce accidents. It would make it safe for Caswallen residents to turn into and out of their neighborhood. It would also make turning out of the Kesher Israel Congregation safer. This would also reduce speeding on Pottstown Pike. Overall this traffic light is needed in order to make the community safer for the residents of Caswallen and the Kesher Israel Congregation. Please help this neighborhood be safe again by signing this petition!
