Red squirrels and migratory birds have lost their natural habitat, conifers like the Eastern White Cedar give them food and shelter. We need to help them or more will be destroyed. Monster homes do not solve Toronto's housing crisis, and do no help to create affordable housing. Instead they destroy affordable housing stock and replace it with extraordinarily expensive, massive homes that are not in alignment with the Long Branch Neighbourhood Characteristic guidelines. 

If we allow people to cut down private trees to develop new homes, the birds and squirrels have no homes, and we will have no trees. 

I need to rally for help from the community of Long Branch to write letters of support, and to sign this petition to help me save my trees from new development at the lot line that will destroy their roots and the canopy. 

When is this going to stop?

Please write a letter to Mark Grimes or Mayor John Tory about the importance of saving trees in Long Branch.
