The Issue
In 2024 my home took a huge jump for property assessment asking $689,000.00. I was offered $4000 off and because everything jumped I shrugged it off.
This year the Town of Okotoks, felt an equally high increase should be reasonable and my assessment jumped from $689K to $795K.
My neighbors on either side were assessed as follows:
124 Hodson Cres: 2024 $504K, 2025 $588K
120 Hodson Cres: 2024 $368K, 2025 $445K
127 Hodson Cres: 2024 $443K, 2025 $494K
I can keep going but essentially I am hoping to reduce my assessment back down to $650-$680K

34 Lock Crescent 2024/2025 Comparable as the Closest possible to our Home based on your list taking into account that Lock Crescent sells for More, This lot is larger than mine, The home is 100sqft less than mine. And it does NOT back onto Milligan.
This evidence presented by you - Assessed by the town of Okotoks, shows my home is over valued since You assessed it with more land at $670K for 2025. My second garage is not equivalent to $115K for a build. The way my smalled land space was used should not penalize beyond what the market can hold and I still back on to Milligan which isnt a selling point but a depreciating qualifier.
