help Keswick able and disabled archers keep our club field
The Issue
HELP is needed before the 6th of may we need as much support as possible so please sign and share. Keswick able and disabled archers are at risk of losing our club grounds due to it not fitting in with it's surroundings (in the countryside) it's at Braithwaite as we have had to put hard standing ground down and we have 3 containers for our equipment. The field we had kindly been given permission to use as a last resort due to a massive increase in rent on our previous grounds which was just not possible for us to pay as we are a self funded club, we had tried to find somewhere in town with no avail because we needed to have our containers on site. Parks and football grounds are an absolute no go due to very specific safety reasons in an open populated space. The field we have has no right of way though, past or behind which is perfect for the safety measurements needed by archery GB standards. We support many men, women and children not just who are able but also with physical and mental disabilities and i wouldn't have it any other way, all our members individually and as a club are amazing and i'm proud to watch everyone thrive in a hobby we all love, it shows no matter your ability we will give 100% support to make archery possible. If we lose our club it will affect no only our members but members from all over the uk that come and shoot with us. Even though the planning board gives permission for hundreds of thousands of houses, holiday homes and glamping pods all over Cumbria in the country side on the side of lakes and in plain view yet 3 containers are an eye sore. we leave it as we found it no rubbish no sign we've even been there. we have been working with rivers trust and the woodlands trust who have kindly donated trees and plants which we have planted and they are thriving. so please sign and share help a local club keep our field thank you all for your very much needed support.
