Good morning all,

Folly Islander's campaigning against the proposed changes to our refuse collection have had a busy week making waves!

Yesterday morning, a resident was featured on the Morning Show on BBC 3CR to discuss the proposed changes and their impact on our community. The feedback we received was incredible, and BBC News has since also posted an article on their website:

Folly Island was described by the presenter of BBC 3CR Morning show as "A little pocket of treasure in the 3 counties” and we intend to continue to fight to keep it this way!

This coverage comes at a brilliant time for the campaign after a Green Party Hertford Town Council Candidate was caught participating in the removal of posters. When approached the team were told by Cllr Ben Crystall that the posters were not allowed to be on HCC property. Residents can't help but feel there is an agenda by the Green Party to try and stifle the campaign, especially seeing as other posters also up on lampposts beside the Campaign Petition ones were not removed.

Regardless, as the term 'prosecution' was mentioned in Cllr Ben Crystall's email with a rather unprofessional 'winky face' emoji, residents have removed posters from HCC property for display on their fences. We hope this doesn't impact the growth of our campaign and that passersby continue to take the time to read the proposed changes, its impacts and- hopefully- support us by signing this petition.

Finally, a reminder to residents that we have until the 30th of September to voice feedback in an email directly to the waste services team. Please ensure you do this as well as supporting this petition.

Thank you.
