Friday Feb 26th, we delivered over 11,500 signatures to MA Attorney General Maura Healey, to date there has been NO ACTION, nor any date offered for a meeting- unacceptable! Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Attorney General Maura Healey and Boston’s Mayor Marty Walsh ignored the letters we sent last September calling for an independent investigation into Juston Root’s death. On the local news stations we have repeatedly called upon Governor Baker to issue an executive order to reopen Juston's case.... nothing.... Where are our leaders?! Is this something we want them to turn their backs on?! By not standing up to this they are indirectly supporting it! Time to put action behind their empty words. The egregious killing of Juston cannot go unchecked. Allowing officers continued impunity is a threat to us all. #WeAreJustOne
