The Root family is deeply touched by the outpouring of support. Thank you for signing and sharing Juston's petition. I also want to thank the many volunteers who are continuing to collect signatures for this petition in their communities.
On Sept. 18th we sent a five-page letter to Governor Baker, Attorney General Healey & Mayor Walsh, we await their response to an appointment of an impartial investigator with no ties to the police for an independent investigation into the killing of Juston Root.
We will continue to collect signatures until they commit to the appointment.
