The Ambassador and consular staff meet with Kuwaiti government officials on 26 January, the Kuwaiti officials permit the consular staff to attend Jermaine’s hearing and provide an interpreter for Jermaine. The consular officers visit Jermaine on 31 January, they allowed Jermaine to call his mother and myself, and they also gave him 3 books to help him occupy his time. They reported Jermaine’s spirit to be down but his health situation does not appear to be getting worse.
