The Issue

My name is Angelica, and I am writing this petition with profound concern and urgency regarding an unjust decision that is threatening the life of my husband Anthony's service animal, Apache—a loving and essential part of our family. Apache is not just a pet; he serves a critical role by providing medical alerts and deep pressure therapy for Anthony. Throughout his time with us, Apache has been a pillar of support, both emotionally and medically, helping Anthony manage his conditions effectively.

On September 10, an unforeseen and isolated incident occurred involving Apache and a neighbor’s dog. It is important to highlight that this was an isolated incident, one that does not reflect Apache's character or behavior, as he has never shown aggression towards humans or other animals in our community before. Apache has been to California, Utah, Nevada Arizona, and numerous places in New Mexico The incident, while unfortunate, does not erase Apache's history of good conduct and service to Anthony and our neighborhood.

In a recent trial, a judge deemed Apache a vicious animal, leading to a horrifying court order demanding his euthanasia. This decision does not seem to consider Apache's history as a service animal or the continuous positive interactions he has had with our community. Furthermore, there appears to be an underlying bias, potentially stemming from Apache’s breed as a pitbull, which is often subject to unfair and negative stereotypes. These factors were not adequately addressed in court, and Apache's life now hangs in the balance due to what we believe is a biased and unfair ruling.

Our family is devastated at the thought of losing Apache and are in desperate need of legal aid to appeal the decision, as we believe in his right to live and serve without the shadow of prejudice. We are appealing to the community, and those who care about justice and animal rights, to help us raise funds to secure an attorney who can competently represent Apache’s case. An attorney who will ensure that his true nature is acknowledged and that he receives a fair chance to continue being the loving service animal he has always been.

Your support could be the difference between life and death for Apache. This is more than just about saving one animal; it is about challenging unfair biases and ensuring that all service animals—regardless of their breed—are treated justly. We need your help to overturn this decision. Please sign this petition and share it, so together, we can stand against this injustice and give Apache the freedom and life he deserves. we will also be starting a GoFundMe account for Apache and any legal fees in the foreseen, future
