ACTION TODAY: National Meter Reading Day!

This message is only relevant to people WITHOUT smart meters and on variable tariffs:

Today is "national meter reading day" which actually happens 4 times a year, the day before the price cap changes. Please make sure you take a meter reading today and give it to your supplier, this avoids the possibility of them guessing what usage is covered by today's expensive prices and what usage is covered by tomorrow's cheaper prices. If you don't give a reading then they may end up charging you the more expensive price for gas and electric that you've used after the price cap has dropped. 

If you want to move to a cheap fixed rate tariff, then the E.ON Next Fixed 12m v65 is still the cheapest in the market.

If you have a smart meter, then your supplier will take readings every half hour and will bill you correctly, so you don't need to worry. Also, if you're on a fixed rate tariff then you're fine as well, as your prices aren't changing with the price cap tomorrow.
