Price cap increases tomorrow - Save £150*, do your meter readings, sort your boiler

SAVE £150 ON YOUR ENERGY BILL TODAY*

Hey everyone, 

Today is the last day of the quarter, which means the price cap is going up tomorrow. This means that if you're on a variable tariff, you'll see your prices rise by around 10% from tomorrow. For the average household that means annual bills going from £1,566 to £1,717.

Before the price cap goes up, there are three things we all need to do:

1. If you're not on a smart meter, please submit your meter readings tonight. This is important because if you don't then your supplier may charge some of your September usage at October prices (you'll be paying more for your energy than you should be!). 
2. Protect yourself from the price cap by moving to a fixed rate tariff. OVO has an exclusive tariff available through Uswitch which is £150 cheaper than the price cap*, it takes less than 10 minutes to switch and you'll be saving a huge amount on your energy bills.
3. Protect your boiler. Home Emergency Assist's websit have a 35% discount on their boiler insurance with the code GETREADY, giving you boiler cover from as little as £3.52 a month. Even if you don't go with them, I recommend getting boiler cover from somewhere, it's a small monthly cost that could save you £100s if you boiler breaks down in the midst of winter. 

Whilst its never too late, to ensure you get the most savings possible on your energy bills, it's best to switch today.
