Farmed animals suffer greatly in their lives, during transport, and at the slaughterhouse. If you see a dog or cat being hurt, you can call the authorities to help that animal. If you see a chicken or pig or turkey being hurt, there is little recourse. Farmed animals are just as deserving of protections as companion animals, and we believe that every farmed animal should be provided with plenty of natural living space, community, enrichment items, medical care, fresh air, comfortable temperatures in transport and a fear-free and pain-free procedure at the final destination. We also want to see closed camera systems in operation in the CAFOs, in the trucks, and in the slaughterhouses in order for the animals to be watched over and protected. 

Sign this petition and we will eventually take your signatures to members of the North Carolina General Assembly to let them know that a lot of people want farmed animals to have better protections. We will also write a bill to present to them as well. Please help us by signing and asking others to sign too.
