WE DID IT — Eydan and I have been granted Permanent Residency ❤️

Today I am writing with a heart full of gratitude.

First, I want to thank every single person who took the time to read our story, sign our petition, share it with family and friends, send us messages of support, and stand beside Eydan and me during one of the most difficult and uncertain times of our lives.

Today, I can finally share the news we have been hoping and praying for: Eydan and I have been granted Permanent Residency in Australia.

After almost three years of uncertainty, and after a journey that began around eleven years ago, the dream our family carried for so long has finally become a reality.

Today is also an incredibly emotional day for me because I think of my husband and Eydan's dad, and of the dream we built together. He is not here to see this moment, but I carry him with me in it. Today, more than ever, I honour him and everything we went through as a family to build a life and a future for our son in the country he knows as home.

This journey taught us more than I could ever put into words. There were moments of fear, uncertainty and heartbreak, but there were also extraordinary moments of kindness, compassion and humanity.

And all of you became part of that story.

You helped our voices be heard. You shared our story when we needed people to listen. You stood beside us when our future was uncertain. And today, I want you to know that your support mattered.

Eydan can now continue growing up in the only home he knows, surrounded by his school, his friends, his football community and the people who have watched him grow.

What once felt impossible has finally become real.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Thank you for caring about a mother and her son.
Thank you for sharing our story.
Thank you for giving us your voice when we needed it most.
And thank you for helping us reach this moment.
