I am an 8th grade scholar from California and I am doing a project about social media. I think that social media limits the things people do and it prevents them from being productive and being active outside of their social lives. I want to promote more regulated social media use instead of constant social media use. I think that the idea of fully banning social media is an unpopular opinion so I strive to balance the amount of use, especially with children under 18. Social media is causing many problems to children in the U.S. and it is also giving them mental health problems. In summary, social media is not a good idea to keep around in the coming years and should be regulated and balanced even more than it currently is.
