We’re not done — this is just the beginning.
Thanks to your support, our story has made it into the Evening Standard. But this fight is far from over. Southern Housing still hasn’t taken real accountability, and they’re continuing to spin lies to protect their image. So here is my response.
RESPONSE TO SOUTHERN HOUSING :
“Working hard to resolve these”, of course you are now the media is on you.
You say you “continue to support Antonia” excuse me, what support?
Is support here while my baby is being bitten badly by bed bugs?
When I have to heat water on the stove just to bathe him because we have no hot water nor shower?
When I reported mould and pest issues over and over again — and was completely ignored and abandoned?
“We take reports of mould extremely seriously”… you clearly haven’t for me and others?
You only gave me a repair date after I posted publicly on my petition that we didn’t even have a working shower (today). Not before. Not when I was calling and emailing . Not when I was begging. You only reacted when the media and thousands of supporters started paying attention.
I’ve reported the mould countless times — through phone calls, because that’s how you prefer to communicate with tenants. Not through email. Not in writing. And it’s obvious why: because phone calls leave no paper trail. No evidence. Just our word against yours.
And now you’re only carrying out pest control because a Councillor and the council’s environmental team got involved — after I had to chase them to chase you. You’ve sprayed my flat individually (despite this being a communal issue)three times, but only after I begged for help. I even had to contact the pest control company myself and ask them to email you directly, because you were ignoring me completely.
You say you “support” me? No — you abandoned us. You left a family with a baby to live in unsafe, disgusting, traumatising conditions for nearly two years. The only thing you’re supporting is your public image. You have put 1000s and 1000s of people through similar situations, you are not going to get away with this.
If you want to lie to journalists, go ahead. I’ve got the truth — and I’ll keep sharing it, every single time. You won’t silence me.

We made the Evening Standard — thank you for helping us be heard
I want to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone who has supported this petition. Because of you — your signatures, shares, and voices — our story was featured in the Evening Standard. This means more people are now aware of the appalling conditions we’ve been living in and the complete neglect from Southern Housing and other housing associations.
To the Evening Standard — thank you for telling the truth and giving us a platform when we felt invisible. Your coverage is already making a difference, and I’m beyond grateful.
