OpenAI just announced that Thumbtack is launching an app inside ChatGPT. Soon, homeowners will be able to ask ChatGPT questions about home repairs or maintenance and get connected directly to professionals on Thumbtack without leaving the chat.

That is exciting progress, but it also highlights a big opportunity for contractors.

At Contractor Commerce, we believe contractors themselves: HVAC companies, plumbers, electricians, and other home service professionals, should have the same access to this new marketplace.

Imagine if homeowners could ask, “How much does a new AC cost?” and ChatGPT could show them your prices, your products, and connect them directly to your business. We want to make that happen.

Because we pioneered eCommerce + Ai Commerce for the trades, we are uniquely positioned to bring this to life for our 1,000's of contractors powering their eCommerce experience through us.

We are asking OpenAI to prioritize Contractor Commerce Apps and allow the contractor apps inside ChatGPT as soon as possible. If you believe small local businesses deserve to be part of this future, please take 30 seconds to sign and share our petition. Let’s make sure ChatGPT does not just help people find contractors. Let’s make sure it helps them hire you directly.

Thank you for being part of this movement,
