The Issue

Justice for Amillier “Milli”

My son, Amillier “Milli ” Penn was a true example of love and joy, and he was cherished by everyone who knew him. His life was brutally taken from us in a senseless act of violence on June 2, 2024 in Grand Rapids, Michigan on the 500 block of Umatilla, right in front of our community—children and adults alike. The pain of losing him is indescribable, and the silence from those who witnessed this tragedy is a wound that deepens our grief.

As a father, I am heartbroken and devastated. There is no justification for what happened to my baby boy.The emptiness and trauma that have engulfed our family and his friends are unbearable. Nearly four months have passed, and the sorrow of his absence is felt every single day. We mourn him daily, and the void he left behind is immense.

Amilier is loved by so many. He still had his whole life to live but instead his life was cut way to short.

As of today Amilier is one out of 11,598 people who has died from gun violence, in the united state's. It's starts with parenting. Parents should teach their kids other ways of dealing with issue's, other then picking up a gun and ending someone's life. If you don't want to see your child do LIFE IN PRISION, teach them NOT TO TAKE A LIFE.

I'm asking for help and support to get this petition signed, so we can get the name of the street changed to Amilier Penn. The memorial we have can't be there forever, so having the street name change will be for ever.

 Help be Amilier's voice

 Thank you so kindly
