Pramiti has a valid ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) since 2019 to be able to make  short trips to the US . This is not a visa but an approval received by citizens of certain countries to travel on a visa waiver. While the discretion of permitting anyone with ETSA is with a Customs and Border protection officer,  with what we have been  through, with 2 student visa rejections we didn’t want anything that would require us to go back to the consulate for a visa again. The very thought of it is traumatizing and brings all of us amenity.

Since we have 2 student visa rejections, we didn’t want to risk anything .  We  consulted  with our God sent attorney who has been helping us with our Parole application who helped with some guidance.  We took a giant leap of faith in a Christmas miracle to bring the child home for 2 weeks during the winter break! I reached London on Friday afternoon and we took a flight out to JFK on Saturday back from London.  I am ecstatic to say that we are here!!!

An hour before we landed, Pramiti was visibly anxious and said.  “All I want is to forget all things that have been so difficult since May and be with my family for just 2 weeks.  Is this too much to ask?  I wish it happens and there are no problems at the port of entry”.  True to her prayer and all of hers, we are excited that she is HERE and we plan to spend to spend time with family in Delaware, show her around New York City tomorrow, before heading back home to Charlotte.  We wish no child ever has to feel so traumatized to be able to visit family

This two week joy is our Christmas miracle and we are going to make the most of it!

Happy Holidays everyone!
