Over the past 5 weeks several of you asked me to provide an update on the current state of affairs. So here is the latest.
Child Arrangement Order - Sushila and I were asked to attend a court hearing in UK on the 4th of October. Thanks for our attorney and the exceptionally compassionate judge, we were granted an interim order of parental rights for Pramiti the very same day. While this by itself doesn’t really make a huge difference yet, it is one bit of good news for ensuring we bring stability to our child!
Sushila’s UK travel - Sushila is on a long leave of absence currently and earlier this evening left for UK to be with Pramiti during her upcoming exams in early November. Here is a picture of sushila and I at the airport right before she left. While we cannot by ourselves rent an accommodation yet since we don’t have residency yet. We are figuring out logistics to piece our UK life together.
I have never felt so defeated in life and never ever imagined our laws can throw us into a situation like this. We are continuing our discussing with our attorneys and with senator Tillis’ office, but there is no clear path yet. We are fighting against the odds and will keep fighting till we can have our family together.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Our fight won’t stop until we are together .
