The Issue

Charles has been incarcerated for many years, separated from his family in Virginia, who dearly miss him and are eager for his return. His time away has been a prolonged hardship. They yearn for his guidance, love, and support. Charles's story is one of many where the criminal justice system has imposed unduly harsh sentences, often disproportionate to the nature of the crime.

The impact of long-term incarceration extends beyond the individual. It fractures families and weakens communities. In Charles’s case, his absence has left a void in his family's lives that can only be filled by his return. Parole/pardon represents a chance for redemption and societal reintegration, and an opportunity to mend family bonds.

Charles has demonstrated positive behaviors during his incarceration, engaging in educational programs and showing a sincere commitment to personal growth and rehabilitation. He is ready to be a productive member of society, work a steady job, and contribute positively to his community.

By signing this petition, you are supporting a man who has paid his dues and deserves a second chance. Help us appeal to the Governor of Virginia to review Charles's case and grant him parole/pardon, allowing him to return home to his family where he is desperately needed. Sign this petition to make a difference in Charles's life and the lives of those who love him.
