Kimberly-Clark’s Kotex brand is built on a promise to women that a period should never stand in the way of her progress. Going against that mission statement, Kotex decided to “discontinue” it’s classic security tampon that many women have been using for more than 20 years as it’s the best tampon for several reasons.

No other tampon is as comfortable or has as good an applicator as security tampons. They don’t fall apart, are shaped like cylindrical like a woman, and they don’t leak.

This is the only brand I have liked and I have tried many (including all the other Kotex models). I’ve tried replacements and nothing compares! Some are scented (gross), open like a star or flower (we aren’t star or flower shaped), and some the applicator even CUT or SCRATCH women! Why on earth would they cancel this tampon and not replace it with one that checks all the boxes like this one did. 

If you read the reviews on Kotex’s website, they are full of women who share my option that Kotex Security Tampon is the only tampon I can comfortably use! You are doing a disservice to women by discontinuing the only tampon who doesn’t cut, open in a weird shape, or leak. 

The security tampon is now being sold on eBay for upwards of $4 each which shows there is still a market for this classic tampon. Please bring it back!
