I feel compelled to start this petition because of my own experiences with rescue dogs. With four rescue dogs at home and recently having found another on the streets, the thought of any dog being mistreated or used merely for breeding purposes is truly heartbreaking. Each pet deserves a stable, loving environment where they can thrive.

Baby, a loving dog, was taken forcibly by her so-called "owner" from his ex-boyfriend. Despite not having a stable home environment for her, he showed no remorse in putting her future at risk. Initially, he handed her over to a friend who has since provided Baby with a safe and happy home where she has been thriving. Yet, Baby's supposed owner wants to remove her from this loving environment and place her on a farm merely for profit through breeding. This is not acceptable.

A change is needed now! Breeders and irresponsible owners who use animals as mere profit-making machines should not have that power. Confirmations from witnesses around this situation confirm that Baby is indeed thriving in her new environment. Documented attachments and messages exist proving the stability and care she is receiving where she currently is.

Allowing her to be taken away from her thriving environment without question would put her at risk of impoverished living conditions and exploitation. Dogs like Baby need our protection, understanding, and most importantly, our advocacy for their rights.

We must urge local animal control services and relevant authorities to review the legitimacy of the current ownership claim over Baby and allow her to remain in the stable, loving environment she's already benefiting from. This case should become an example of how genuine care for animals can override unjust claims based purely on ownership papers when the animal's best interest is clearly elsewhere.
