Help a dead war hero's family have his name added to the National Arboretum
The Issue
WO2 Nathan Hunt took his own life in 2018 after struggling with PTSD and depression following two extremely traumatising tours of duty in Afghanistan. He left behind his wife, Lainey and daughter, Megan, who was nine years old at the time.
Nathan, a serving member of the Royal Corps of Engineers, received a Mention in Despatches for finding dozens of Taliban home-made bombs. He helped save the lives of many of his comrades - including Prince Harry, whom he served with in Helmand in 2008. In 23 years of Army service, he also completed tours in Iraq, Bosnia and Northern Ireland.
Since Nathan's death, his father Derek and Mother Marie have been campaigning to have his name added to the memorial wall at the National Arboretum.
Nathan's family and many who served with him believe that he was a victim of the Afghanistan War and that the mental wounds he received in combat were responsible for his death. But the senior officers and officials responsible for deciding whose name should be added to the wall within the Ministry of Defence dispute this and have refused to allow him name to be added to the wall.
If you believe Nathan's name should be added to the memorial then please help his family and sign this petition.
Thank you.
