Help 1600 Families waiting for 19 Years to Get their Home in Sushant Aquapolis Ghaziabad
The Issue
Petition to: Vice Chairman, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA)
For 19 Years, We Have Waited. Please Help Us Finally Get Our Homes.
In 2007, hundreds of middle-class families invested their life savings in the Sushant Aquapolis (Group Housing-1) project developed by Ansal Urban Condominiums Pvt. Ltd. We booked our homes with the hope of giving our families a secure future.
Today, nearly 19 years later, we are still waiting.
Many of us paid almost the entire cost of our homes through our savings and housing loans. Instead of receiving possession, we have endured years of uncertainty, financial hardship, and emotional distress. Families have continued paying EMIs while also paying rent. Children have grown up waiting for homes that were promised before they were born.
Sadly, some homebuyers passed away without ever seeing the homes they spent their lifetime savings to purchase. Many of the remaining buyers are now senior citizens who continue to wait for justice.
After years of pursuing remedies before various authorities, including RERA and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), hope finally emerged when the Committee of Creditors approved a Resolution Plan with 100% voting approval on 9 August 2023, and the Hon'ble NCLT approved the Resolution Plan on 7 November 2025.
For the first time in years, we believed our homes would finally be completed.
However, instead of allowing the approved Resolution Plan to be implemented, the project has continued to face delays arising from disputes over development rights and subsequent transfers claimed by different entities. These continuing disputes have prolonged the suffering of innocent homebuyers and have prevented the implementation of the approved Resolution Plan.
The Hon'ble Supreme Court has now entrusted the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) with an important responsibility to take the necessary steps to facilitate implementation of the approved Resolution Plan and protect the interests of homebuyers.
Today, the future of more than 1,600 families depends upon timely administrative action.
Our Humble Appeal
We respectfully request the Ghaziabad Development Authority to:
Approve the necessary building plans without unnecessary delay.
Facilitate implementation of the NCLT-approved Resolution Plan in accordance with law.
Enable construction to resume so that homebuyers can finally receive possession of their homes.
Protect the interests of innocent homebuyers who have already waited for nearly two decades.
This is not merely an administrative decision.
It is an opportunity to restore the faith of ordinary citizens in the rule of law, the insolvency resolution process, and public institutions.
For nearly nineteen years, thousands of dreams have remained incomplete.
We are not asking for special treatment.
We are only asking that the lawfully approved Resolution Plan be implemented so that families who have already suffered for almost two decades can finally receive the homes they paid for.
Please Stand With Us

Together, let us urge the Ghaziabad Development Authority to take the necessary steps so that construction can resume, the approved Resolution Plan can be implemented, and innocent homebuyers can finally receive the homes they were promised.
Please sign this petition and share it with your family, friends, and colleagues. Every signature brings us one step closer to justice and to the homes we have waited nearly two decades to call our own.
