New York City is a global destination of culture and refinement, yet here we are in 2022 with an occasional Hello Kitty truck coming rarely, not in NYC, and not exactly an experience. Rather it’s a 2+ hour line for some products that sell out quickly by the time you get to the front.

It’s time we as New Yorkers say enough is enough. This is unconscionable and unacceptable that we don’t have a Hello Kitty Cafe. We need to get one as soon as possible as the west coast has 3 physical Hello Kitty Cafes and none are available in our beloved city or near it. It’s also unfair that California has 9 Sanrio stores and New York City closed theirs a few years ago with no replacement. California also just opened a new store in Irvine, CA. Do they not care about their East Coast and New York audience?? 

We are the Hello Kitty Justice Warriors and we’re demanding that Sanrio steps up and brings the cafe to NYC!
