Compensation for No Man's Sky Players

Compensation for No Man's Sky Players
The issue
Problem
It's a sad thing to make a petition against a game that so many players had high hopes for - especially when it's made by indie developers. However when you price a game at $90 NZD, you expect a AAA experience and this is what No Man's Sky failed to deliver.
When I first played No Man's Sky - it was with high expectations, not only because of all the promises Sean Murray made but because of the $90 I had to give up to play it. Initially I didn't know whether I liked the game or not - being stuck on a planet with limited inventory and no clear tutorial. Soon enough you get into space and go "wow" but after an hour that "wow" becomes "wow this sucks". Not only because of the lack of a game in this big universe but also because of the repetitive nature of it's gameplay.
This game was such a massive disappointment that I actually requested a refund from steam. This request was denied and now I'm left with a game that has no replay value and a $90 credit card bill. Sean then made the mistake of hinting at paid DLC in the face of what many though was an already overpriced game. I feel ripped off and I believe this is the same with many other players. I think it's time we had our say.
Solution
As the title states, I believe that the players of No Man's Sky deserves to be compensated and new players be offered a fair price. $90 NZD or about $60 USD is completely unacceptable. The only reason most of us were influenced to even pay this much was because of the high expectations and excessive hype. To profit off hype is exploitive and disgusting.
Here are my proposed solutions I believe players will find fair
- Lower retail price by a significant margin (30% at least)
- All further DLC (up to the value of the reduction in retail price) should be awarded for free to players who have already paid the excessive $90 NZD or equivalent for the currently existing game
If further DLC is not possible before 13 Aug, 2017 a refund should be given to existing players of an amount up to the value of the reduction in retail price.
If action is not taken to correct the wrongs Hello Games has inflicted against their customers, I will be sure never to buy another title made by them again. And I believe this will be the same for many other players.
