Flying is a wonderful experience for many of you and especially for me as a glider pilot. But we realize –  big toys do a lot of damage ecologically:

Richard, Elon and Jeff want to fly into space. And now they want to enable their super-rich friends to have this ultimate experience as well - a huge business. While we're trying to transform our products to be CO2-neutral, the mega-millionaires are blowing our future on private rockets. So we need to make this an issue.

We say NO to space tourism and demand that such endeavors be outlawed internationally.

We call on Elon Musk, Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos - think about the energy use of your rockets. Even if you use sustainable energy to power these rockets, that energy is alternatively available to no longer useful applications, which are then in turn powered by fossil fuels.

We call on the environment ministers and foreign ministers of Germany and Europe - make this selfish madness a political issue. We cannot ask the family man with three children who has to commute to the city every day to behave ecologically if space tourism is tacitly tolerated. How is he supposed to understand that?

Think! Please help to create awareness against individual consumption, which ecologically violates environmental goals beyond all measure. Let us set signs together for a future worth living for our grandchildren.
