Housing development causes protester fury

Today Tonight picked up our story to save the bushland on the former hospital site in Shenton Park. In the report Landcorp CEO, Frank Marra, claims that this is a "balanced plan". However he fails to say that infill density targets can be met on this redevelopment site without clearing any of the bushland. He also fails to mention that the State Gov't is ignoring key policies which clearly state that this bushland, as part of a regionally significant ecological corridor, should be protected in its entirety. The decision to clear 50% of the bushland is outrageous. This is NOT a "balanced plan". Less than 10% of original bushlands in the Western Suburbs remain! At what point are we going to stop the clearing? I am still waiting to hear from the Premier's office.............
