Remember how we got nap time in preschool and kindergarten? It was so refreshing, even if you couldn't sleep. And it's actually good for your health to have a short nap in the middle of the day. So, why don't the grades after preschool and kindergarten have nap times? If we shortened classes by 5 minutes each at Vista Middle, then we'd have enough time for a 30 minute nap-time after lunch! And if you didn't want to sleep, then you could play with little kid toys like Legos and hot wheels cars while being quiet. Those who really need a nap that day can lay down on the floor and such.
